I love coffee. Especially the kind with lots of sugar in it.
I love the *taste* of caffeinated beverages. I can tell the difference in taste between de-caf and caffeine.
Unfortunately, I also hate the *effects* of caffeine.
I had a grande frappuccino this morning on the way to work. Oh how wonderful it is to get your weekly expense allowance, and leave home in time to stop at the drug store and pick up a nice frozen coffee. And how nice especially it is to get a drink large enough that, if you sip it slowly enough, there’s enough to carry the half finished candy-in-a-cup into the office with you. And how *urban* it feels to sit in the meeting room, in your nice clothes, and discuss the joys of publicly drinking cofee.
And how unpleasant it is to so quickly feel the effects of a well-caffeinated bevarage.
I can already feel my blood pressure rising…
well…..if you did that every morning I can promise you a day would come when you wouldn’t feel a thing π
Coffee is proof that God loves us and wants us to stay awake
or as any mother would say:
drink your coffee, people in India are sleeping

For years I was a very depressed person. Many women are. They say a lot of it is hormonal. I think it was with me but the cause of 75% of it was caffeine. And, I didn’t even drink that much per day. But it turns out that I am exremely sensitve to the stuff. I found out to my astonishment that it is a drug. A stimulant. I can’t even drink decaf anymore because of it contains 2-3% cafffeine.
So I found a grain drink at my local health food stores (out here in CA we have loads of gourmet health food stores::)
It says on the jar that it is suppsoed to taste like coffee. Yeah…right…LOL. But it’s alright when you get used to it.

I love of the taste of coffee, too. De-caf is a pitiful substitute. I like the effects of coffee for the first 10 minutes, then it’s all down hill. I gave it up for about three months, and I was miserable.
