Locks of Love

Well, I did it. My hair is gone.

I’ve been contemplating cutting my hair and donating to Locks of Love for several months now and I decided to go ahead and do it. For those of you who are not familiar with Locks of Love and haven’t clicked the link yet, they are a nonprofit organization that takes donated hair and makes wigs for children who have lost their hair due to things like chemo therapy.

So Kyle and I decided to drive down to Ohio for the week for hair cuts and to relax a bit before starting back at school in a couple of weeks. I got it cut today and will be sending off my hair to Lakeworth, FL for a little kid in need of some hair (I sure had plenty of it). I like my new haircut but it will take some getting used to. At least I’ll be saving money on shampoo and conditioner now, and if I decide that I don’t like it after all, I can always grow it back out again.

Here’s what it looked like before:

And here’s how it looks now:

I’ve put more pictures up in the gallery.

  1. You’d think she was prettier if her hair grew down to her knees — it’s hardly an objective opinion. However, it does look good.

  2. Kyle isn’t in the role of “husband” because of his objectivity. I think as a spouse, you are (and should stay) a bit biased toward your other self.

We want pictures! I am sure the remaining locks look great!
