The Lord is Good.

School is going well. We are both busily writing for our classes; we both have assignments due next Wednesday. Kyle has a paper and I have a draft due for my policy memo. It’s been interesting rationing our time on the computer for working, but everything is going fine with it.

I have two points of good news to share.

Firstly, I finally reached my weight goal! I’m so excited. Depending on when you start counting, I’ve lost between 40 and 55 lbs and am now down in a weight range that’s healthy for my height. I started officially counting back in March at 180 and this morning I was at 140. I had topped out my weight aroung 195 before I said forget this and started to get back to a health weight. I’m planning on going down to just under 140 before Turkeyfest so I won’t feel so guilty for eating my fill of scrumptious tukey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, pie, carcass soup, etc.

Secondly, the Lord (and our family) has helped provide for us to be able to travel for the holidays. I received a scholarship that provided us with the money we needed for expenses up through January and some of our family has provided us with plane tickets for visiting at Christmas. We are thankful for all of your prayers and blessings.

I have to get back to work now; I just thought I’d share a bit of happiness and blessings that have come our way.

Peace and Blessings to you all and Happy Thanksgiving if I don’t get to post again until afterwards.

  1. Congratulations, Valerie, on reaching your weight loss goal. You’re an inspiration.

God always comes through just in time doesn’t he. I’m glad you and Kyle will be able to spend the holidays with family.
