Life, the Universe and Everything…

Well at least life….

Yes, it’s that time again to make a quick update on what’s going on in the French world, and I do mean quick.

Kyle has finished his last paper for this semester and is asleep. He stayed up all night to finish it up and turned it in aroud 4ish this morning. i”m very relieved that it’s done. Next, I’ve set him the task of washing dishes, contacting the school in Concord and balancing the books.

Teaching is going well and I think that I’ve finally hit a good rhythm for getting things done in an orderly fashion. It helps that this week all but one of my classes had a test, so I’ve had a bit of a chance to catch up. I have four weeks left of teaching and final grades are due in by the end of the month for kids in the high school and something like June 14th for middle school. I’m really enjoying teaching and answering questions about science. It’s nice to be able to share things that I’ve learned over the years and not put all of my education to waste (that was a joke, you’re supposed to laugh).

As of right now, we’re still not sure exactly where the Lord wants us to move. Kyle has a phone interview with a school in Concord, NC that he needs to set up soon and an onsite interview with my boss here for a postion that might be opening up in the fall. Basically it’s going to boil down to where he gets employed. If it’s here, we’ll stay in MA and move closer to the school. If it’s Concord, we’ll make another cross country move. Either way, we’ll be moving in about a month and a half. I haven’t thought of anything logistically yet because I’m trying to stay ahead in the teaching game.

We would greatly appreciate prayers as we continue to seek after the Lord and His direction. Mostly it would be nice to know where we’re hauling all our junk to this summer.

In other news, there are a lot of graduations this May. My lovely sister-in-law is graduating with a degree in early childhood education, my warrior princess sister Jeanna is graduating with a degree in geography and urban planning, my cousin Amber is finished with high school and wants to be a nurse, my friend Julie is finishing up her degree in biological sciences, and even though I officially graduated back in January, I’ll be walking with the rest of my class May 20th down in Boston. I’m excited about seeing all my friends again before moving but not looking forward to going down to Boston after church and then having to drive back up so I can get to bed on time.

Well, my students are coming in and i need to go do a devotional with them. Have a wonderfully, blessed day.

  1. You forgot your cousin, Christina. She graduates this weekend from the University of Akron with a BS in Music Education.
